At the young age of 5 years old, Cory felt a calling placed on his hands and his heart. He had enjoyed listening to the hymns of the old country church just down the road ever since he was born. At that moment, he informed his parents he wanted to learn the piano alongside his cousins. Mom and Dad found the best piano teacher out there and the rest is history! In late 2001, Cory began taking lessons from the well-respected Janet Hayes of the southern gospel group, The Hayes Family. He instantly fell in love with their style of technically correct singing and convention style piano playing. He has been a member of his small country church in Lenoir, NC and enjoyed playing and singing for the church choir. While his piano lessons ended in 2014, Cory went on to play for several area churches within the community and even assisted the East Tennessee State University gospel choir in accompaniment. At 28 years old, Cory now plays the keys for The Siler Family and has been with Toby, Christi, Jarrod, and Jewel for nearly 3 years now. Together, they travel the country spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Cory has appeared on many stages capturing the hearts of audiences with his humble style giving his all to the Lord. His number one mission is to encourage others by pointing them to the Cross through the talent and calling God has placed in his life.
